Free Rotation is a collection of three Mercenaries made available to players at no cost over a period of one week. Players can play as these mercs without spending credits or money to recruit them as a way of testing them in-game. Three different mercs circulate through the rotation every two weeks, usually including no more than one merc of a specific combat role. For example, only one Objective Specialist, one Medic, and one Fire Support merc would be in the rotation at one time. There is always one Objective Specialist per rotation to allow players without an engineer to play as one.
